MSD Design Ltd provide design and manufacturing services to the offshore oil and marine, construction, whisky distilling , health, water and sewage treatment industries since it was established in 1992. The design facility is complimented by busy steel fabrication and GRP manufacturing arms which enable the company to offer a full turnkey option from design right through to installation and commissioning for most industries.

All design operations are subject to engineering and QA restrictions with manufacturing and site works being controlled procedurally and by risks assessments, method statements and the production and supply of definitive work packs. The energetic design teams work closely with our manufacturing teams offering in-house support and will attend site to both survey for design and supervise for installation. 2 x MSD85F TOTALLY ENCLOSED LIFEBOAT/RESCUE BOAT AND MSD138 GRAVITY PIVOT DAVIT

These lifeboats are Totally Enclosed Lifeboats/Rescue Boats and are designed, built and fitted out according to the latest SOLAS (Safety of Lives at Sea) Regulations. The hull, superstructure and inner liner are individually moulded from GRP using a combination of hand lay up and automated application. The three components are then assembled to form a double skinned watertight unit. The exterior has a gel coat that is high visibility International Orange and the interior is light grey.

The MSD138 Davit combined with a suitable winch provides a safe and reliable system of launching a fully manned lifeboat from the deck of a vessel.
