Maintenance Access

 

Variety of rig access stairs & platforms - Detailed Design and Draughting.

 

MSD Design was required to design and detail a number of new maintenance access platforms and the upgrade of existing support frames. The platforms where designed to allow safe maintenance access to elevated areas on the rig structure to minimise exposure to working at heights.

 

All of the platforms and frames where designed to connect to existing rig structures and decking, with all design calculations carried out accordingly. Due to the complex geometry in some areas of the rig, both Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD 3D where used extensively for the duration of the project.
