Subsea Retrieval Frame– Structural Design and Draughting

A limited time scale structural project to design and produce fabrication drawings for a subsea retrieval frame. From initial enquiry to finished fabrication took less than a month, with subsea retrieval 3 weeks later. The ROV interfaces were a particular success and the weight of the overall assembly allowed the recovery to be completed in a “safe and relatively straightforward manner”.

This timescale was achieved by the competent use of STAAD analysis software and Autodesk Inventor frame generator module, both of which allow for changes to be incorporated quickly and efficiently.
