Lifeboat & Davit works

 

Forward Tandem Lifeboat Platform - Survey, Design & Fabrication.

 

This project involved converting a single davit lifeboat station into a tandem lifeboat station on a floating production platform. A suitable design solution was created from a mix of offshore surveys and existing rig fabrication drawings. Structural calculations were carried out using a combination of STAAD and MathCAD software with design work carried out using Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD software.

 

Fabrication involved the refurbishment of an existing lifeboat davit structure and the new main access platform and support beams. Full fabrication documentation and certification was also supplied.
