Crane Cab Safety Upgrades

 

Spiral crane cab access stairs and platforms - Design and Fabrication.

 

Current offshore safety regulations call for the majority of crane operators to harness up for ladder access to their control cabs. A client request to provide improved access to their crane cabs initiated the creation of a unique design solution for the offshore environment. Because of existing structures and limited deck space a spiral staircase design was the obvious choice.

 

From initial offshore survey through to design and fabrication, a timesaving and more importantly ‘safe’ means of access has been achieved.
