Helideck Crew Insulated GRP Module

The composite GRP unit was designed to be fully insulated, glazed and furnished both internally and externally. The interior was fitted with specialist lockers, desk, bench, seats, heaters, all lighting and electrics.

An articulated steel wind sock and instrumentation column was installed on the exterior along with access ladders and handrails at the maintenance platform on the roof. This platform was completed with a non-slip surface. The unit was lifted via the steel base and a fully tested and certified lifting beam and sling set.

This GRP building was designed and manufactured to withstand the inclement weather conditions in the North Sea and for installation onto a very exposed position on the rig.
